Richard and Judith (Allen) Mugovero were married on June 9, 1962. The wedding took place in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in New London. Monsignior Thomas Moriarty of The College of New Rochelle officiated.

Dick owned and operated Mugovero's Garage in New London. Judy taught school in New London and Waterford school systems.

They have two sons, James and Sherrie of Panama City, Fla., and Michael and Tammy of Waterford. Thay also have three granddaughters, Alyssa, Erica, and Alexia Mugovero.
